CxVault
Evidence and Key Safekeeping for IBM webMethods
Keep the evidence private.
CxVault keeps the evidence a migration produces, and the keys that protect it, on your own Integration Server. It accepts evidence that CxAudit has sealed for it, trusts only the CxAudit servers you have pinned, and lets you decide per package who may see what.
Ask about CxVaultWhat CxVault helps you do
Receive sealed evidence
CxAudit seals an evidence bundle to this server's receiving key. An operator places it in CxVault's inbox, and CxVault shows what has arrived without opening it.
Trust only the servers you pin
A bundle names the CxAudit server that sealed it. CxVault trusts that seal only when the signer's whole public key has been pinned, after comparing its fingerprint out of band.
Control who sees what
Grant seeing a package's structure and seeing its data as separate permissions, each to an existing Integration Server ACL. Keys stay in the server's password store, and every deletion is logged before and after it happens.
How it fits your work
Set up the vault
Install CxVault, create its ACLs and make the receiving key that CxAudit seals evidence to.
Pin the signers
Pin the public key of each CxAudit server whose evidence you accept, and confirm its fingerprint with the team that runs it.
Grant access per package
Decide which ACLs may see each package's structure and data. A package that is not listed is closed to everybody.
Environment and data
CxVault runs as an Integration Server package and keeps its records in the shared Centipod directory on that server.
- For IBM webMethods 10.x, 11.x and 12.x migration projects. We confirm compatibility for your version and environment before deployment.
- CxVault is offered as part of CxGovernance, with CxAudit and CxExplorer.
- Deletion is permanent. The deletion log records what was removed, by whom and when.
